Leeds United are prioritising the capture of centre back Kyle Bartley over striker Oli McBurnie as they plot to launch a double swoop on Premier League side Swansea City this summer, according to a reliable journalist.
The Yorkshire Evening Post’s Phil Hay, who has established himself as one of the most revered reporters covering the Whites, has claimed on his personal Twitter account that the club are targeting both of the Welsh side’s fringe stars, but it is the 6’4″ colossus who is their top target.
not so sure on that one but he isn't as big a target for Leeds as Bartley in any case.

The 26-year-old, who spent a season on loan at Leeds during the 2016/17 campaign, has been on the sidelines for much of the campaign as the Swans find themselves on the brink of relegation to the Championship, while McBurnie has scored nine goals in 17 appearances while on loan at Barnsley, the Tykes dropping to League One.
Football Insider verdict
After last summer’s disastrous transfer window, when they made wholesale changes involving a host of unproven talent, it appears as though tactics have changed in the Elland Road boardroom. Instead of quantity over quality, this summer looks to follow on from January, when they swooped in for Adam Forshaw, in targeting proven stars who know what it takes to be a success in the Championship. Bartley and McBurnie certainly fit the bill, although with Swansea now needing a miracle to avoid the drop, Leeds might find they are forced to go elsewhere as the duo get drafted into the Swans’ first team in the Championship. As well as new recruits, Leeds fans should also expect to see a number of first team exits over the next couple of months, and after so much change last summer, it looks as though it could be a case of deja vu for the Whites faithful.
In other Leeds United transfer news, one 27-year-old is set for the bin as a second placed side mull over a move.
