Report: Arsenal ace in line for £200,000-a-week deal, overseas club offer double

Arsenal attacker Alexis Sanchez is in line for a new £200,000-a-week deal to become the club’s highest paid player, according to a report.

The Mail claim that the 27-year-old is currently in talks about extending the remaining 18 months of his contract and he wants a significant increase on his existing £130,000-a-week deal.

The report details that several Chinese clubs have expressed an interest in Sanchez and he received one offer of £400,000-a-week.

It is understood that he is hoping Arsenal smash their wage structure to keep him after receiving huge interest from the riches of Chinese clubs and that he can expect a Gunners offer around the £200,000-a-week mark.

Sanchez has emerged as Arsenal’s most important player this season after being remoulded into a central striker.

The Chile international has swapped his left wing position to spearhead the attack and he has been in sensational form for Arsene Wenger’s side.

He has made 20 appearances this season across all competitions, scoring 13 goals and supplying nine assists.

Sanchez scored a stunning hat-trick on Saturday against West Ham and is now joint-top of the Premier League’s golden boot race with Diego Costa (11).

Arsenal have emerged as serious title contenders for the league title this season and Sanchez will be crucial if they are to succeed.

The attacker has been compared to club great Thierry Henry in recent weeks because of his movement and is even showing the same kind of composure in front of goal.

He moved to the Emirates in 2014 from Barcelona and is certainly repaying the £35million fee, scoring 55 goals in 113 appearances for the north London club.
