Report: Arsenal plot £2.7m swoop for wonderkid as PL rivals circle

Hamburg SV starlet Josha Vagnomen is attracting interest from Arsenal, according to a report.
The Sun understands that the Gunners head of recruitment Sven Mislintat has watched the 17-year-old defender on a number of occasions and he would cost a fee in the region of £2.7million.
However, the club faces stiff opposition if they are going to land their target as Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Chelsea are also eyeing the youngster.
Vagnomen is highly versatile and said to be one of the best young players in Germany.
He can be played in either of the full-back positions but is yet to sign professional forms with the Bundesliga side and until he does he cannot play in the German league.
Football Insider verdict:
Vagnomen is regarded as one of the best young defenders in Germany and if Arsenal can steal a march on their rivals by bagging the youngster it would be a huge coup for the Gunners. Now that Mislintat is in charge of recruitment at the Emirates and was integral to the club in their purchase of Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, the chances of landing the protege have surely increased dramatically. However, the German native will be one for the future and it’s unlikely Arsene Wenger would put a player of his age straight into the first team.
