Everton are targeting reinforcements for five problem positions before the transfer window cut-off, according to a report.
The Mail claim the Merseysiders are in the market for a goalkeeper, right-back, centre-back, midfielder and forward.
It is said Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart, Sunderland defender Lamine Kone, Valencia right-back Aymen Abdennour, Porto winger Yacine Brahimi and Lyon wide man Rachid Ghezzal are are among the players being discussed by the Everton hierarchy.
The Merseysiders have begun the season well, drawing 1-1 against Tottenham before a notable 2-1 win at West Brom last week.
But manager Ronald Koeman wants to strengthen his squad in the final days of the summer window despite learning last week that star man Romelu Lukaku will remain at the club for at least one more season.
Everton have made four senior signings to date this summer in Maarten Stekelenburg, Idrissa Gueye, Ashley Williams and Yannick Bolasie.
In other Everton transfer news, this Everton target has been banned from his club for the rest of the month.
