Report details Tottenham stance on 27-year-old star amid PL interest
By Harvey Byrne
Tottenham hold a firm stance on star Danny Rose and will reject any advances for his signature, according to a report.
News outlet Football.London have claimed via their website that Spurs are not willing to let the 27-year-old leave north London despite claims from the Independent that Premier League giants Manchester United would turn to him after growing frustrated in their pursuit of Ivan Perisic and Gareth Bale.
The Football.London reports states that having already sold key right-back Kyle Walker to Manchester City earlier this summer, Spurs are even more determined to stop Rose from also moving to the red side of Manchester.
Manchester United are also said to have already made attempts to sign Eric Dier this summer, but Tottenham made it clear that they would not sell the 23-year-old and they are now putting the same stance on Rose.
The left-back still has four years remaining on his contract in north London and is considered a key part in Mauricio Pochettino’s team despite his long-term injury.

Football Insider verdict:
After suffering an injury in January which is also set to keep him out of the start of the new season there is no saying Rose will return the same player and he may have even lost a few yards of pace after being sidelined for so long at his age. However, there is still the possibility that he will return a key man of the progressive Spurs team and there is no time at all now for the club to replace someone like Rose if he was to depart. Therefore, Spurs must ensure they retain the services of the 12-time capped England international if they are to improve on last season’s second placed finish and Champions League group stage knockout.
