Leeds are making late window moves for striker trio Pierre Michel Lasogga, Pawel Cibicki and Dwight Gayle, according to a report.
The Daily Mail have claimed via their live transfer blog (Tuesday, 2.57pm) that Lasogga, 25, is close to joining on loan from Bundesliga side Hamburg, while Pawel Cibicki, 23, is signing from Swedish outfit Malmo for a fee of £1.5million.
However, the Elland Road giants’ spending does not seem to be stopping there either as it is also claimed that Leeds have enquired about Gayle, 27, from Premier League side Newcastle.
The Mail report claim follows reports from Radio Yorkshire journalist Joe Rawson that it was looking to be a case of one of Cibicki “or” Lasogga for Leeds.
Football Insider verdict:
With Wood and Marcus Antonsson both departing Elland Road this summer alongside Caleb Ekuban suffering a long-term injury it would not be too surprising to see Leeds bring in three strikers, especially after the names mentioned. Andrea Radrizzani has told that he will use the entirety of the £15million gained from Wood to reinvest in the squad and while Lasogga and Cibicki would be gambles for Leeds, manager Thomas Christiansen may also be looking for a guaranteed goalscorer in the Championship, like Gayle. Therefore, Leeds fans could be in for an exciting next 48 hours.
In other Leeds transfer news, the Whites also enquired about this Premier League striker in the final year of his contract.
