Confirmed: Euro duo set for imminent arrival at Leeds from top flight side
Leeds United will see young Polish duo Bartosz Boniecki and Hubert Sadowski from Pogon Szczecin on trial for the next week, as confirmed by the parent club.
The Polish side revealed via their official website on Wednesday that the youngsters would be making their way to Thorp Arch for the Whites to run the rule over the pair, with both having played at youth level for Poland.
Boniecki, a versatile 17-year-old winger who can play on either flank, has made five appearances for Poland’s under-18 side, and has turned out 11 times for the under-19s at the top flight Polish side.
Meanwhile 17-year-old centre back Sadowski has one under-15 appearance for his country, and has appeared 14 times for the under-19s at Pogon Szczecin.
Football Insider verdict
Leeds have not had much success when purchasing from Poland in recent times, with Mateusz Klich failing to have the desired impact after his arrival from FC Twente during the summer, while they have also seen Kamil Miazek arrive on a free transfer in October. The two youngsters will be looking to impress in order to seal a chance to play in England, and it gives a further insight into Leeds’ transfer plans moving forward. The Polish market has been left largely untapped by English clubs so the Whites may be hoping to capitalise and secure some unknown talents.
In other Leeds United transfer news, a summer signing is set for the exit with the Whites on the verge of a new capture.
