Report: Tottenham set for talks over electrifying attacker ripping up top flight (not Malcom)

Tottenham see Ajax’s 20-year-old winger David Neres as their top target if negotiations aren’t successful for Brazilian attacker Malcom, according to a report.
Goal claim that Neres would be cheaper than Malcom and is their go-to Plan B if Malcom talks aren’t fruitful.
This comes after new Bordeaux manager Gus Poye stated that Malcom would be remaining in the South of France.
“I asked straight away if Malcom would be staying or not,” said Poyet in The Sun.
“They said yes. I said: ‘OK, now we can continue the discussion.'”
Goal also say that talks are expected between Tottenham and Ajax in the coming days.
In a previous report, Italian news outlet Calcio Mercato claimed AC Milan, Juventus, Manchester United and Arsenal are also interested in Neres.
Journalists in Brazil have compared him to Neymar after a stunning start for Ajax.
He joined the Ditch club last January and has since scored eight goals and added 11 assists in just 17 league games.
Football Insider verdict
Neres seems like an excellent option if talks for Malcom aren’t successful. The winger – another Brazilian – has had a stunning start to his career in Holland with Ajax and it’s no wonder that he’s been linked with moves to all the big clubs. Neres would be cheaper, no less experienced and the same age. Mauricio Pochettino loves bringing young players through at Spurs and although he’s currently seen as a Plan B, he might actually be the better buy. Spurs fans would surely take either of them.
