Report: West Ham make increased offer for attacker to £70,000-a-week

West Ham have offered Carlos Bacca a contract worth £70,000-a-week, according to a report.
The Mirror claim the Hammers have made a fresh club-record move to try and make Bacca their marquee summer signing.
It is said West Ham have increased their bid for Bacca to £27million and offered him £70,000-a-week to make him the club’s third top earner behind Dimitri Payet and Andy Carroll.
Jack Sullivan, the son of the Hammers co-owner David Sullivan, claimed on his personal Twitter account on Wednesday night that the east London club have agreed a fee with the Italian giants and the Colombia international will make a decision on whether to make the move by Friday night.
It had been reported that the 29-year-old forward was holding out for a return to Spain with former club Sevilla and Spanish big-hitters Atletico Madrid both showing an interest, but there appears confidence at West Ham that they can seal the deal.
Sullivan junior has become renowned for providing insider information on transfer deals on Twitter shortly before they are announced by the official West Ham media outlets.
Bacca, 29, is likely to leave Milan as Italian sports newspaper Gazzetta have reported that the Italian giants have lined up £5million-rated Italian Kevin Lasagna as a replacement.
Should terms be agreed, Bacca will become Slaven Bilic’s seventh signing of the summer following the arrivals of Gokhan Tore, Sofiane Feghouli, Toni Martinez, Havard Nordtveit, Ashley Fletcher and Domingos Quina.
The Colombia international would also become the most expensive purchase in the east London club’s history, exceeding the £15million spent on the signing of Andy Carroll from Liverpool in 2013.
Bacca joined Milan from Sevilla 12 months ago for a fee of around £22million after his release clause was activated and is contracted to the Italian giants until 2019.
The 33-time capped international starred for the Italian giants last season where he scored 20 goals in 43 appearances in all competitions.
Arsenal have also been linked with the likes of Alexandre Lacazette and Gonzalo Higuain after being snubbed by Leicester sensation Jamie Vardy.
In other West Ham transfer news, Dimitri Payet has sent the fans a message about his future.
