Revealed: Bielsa wants to make PL left footer first Leeds signing if they go up
Marcelo Bielsa wants to make Jack Harrison the first Leeds United signing this summer if they go up, Football Insider understands.
The winger, 23, has been a mainstay of the United team during his two consecutive season-long loans and has developed impressively under the Argentine’s command.
A Leeds source has told Football Insider that Bielsa is in no doubt Harrison has what it takes to make an impact in the Premier League and wants him signed on a full-time deal.
United have made provisions for such an event, with a permanent option included in the loan contract of the former England Under-21 international.
Details of the clause, which can be triggered at the end of this campaign, were first revealed by Football Insider shortly after last summer’s transfer window had shut.
The stipulated fee is set at just below £10million for Harrison, whose City deal runs until the summer of 2022.

Bielsa has showed total faith in the left-footed wide man, even when he was struggling to score and create goals.
At Leeds, he has remarkably started all 36 of their Championship games this season, scoring five goals as well as supplying six assists.
Bielsa is almost certain to name him once again in his starting XI again for today’s Yorkshire derby against Huddersfield at Elland Road even though he has not contributed to a goal for 11 matches.
In other Leeds United news, it can be REVEALED that the club are set to announce a blockbuster deal after extensive negotiations.
