Everton are convinced that the value of Richarlison has escalated to £80million as he prepares to finish his debut campaign at the club, Football Insider understands.
The Brazil international joined the Merseysiders from Watford last summer for an initial £35million rising to £50million if all add-ons are achieved.
An Everton source has told Football Insider the club are convinced Richarlison’s value has nearly doubled and they are now sitting on an “£80million goldmine”.
The Merseysiders have no intention of cashing in on the forward but anticipate interest in him from some of Europe’s elite clubs in the summer window.
His youth – the Brazil international turns 22 next month -, blistering pace, skill and finishing, as well as ability to play on the left and right flanks, as well as in the centre-forward role, mark him as a huge talent.
Richarlison has scored 13 goals in 34 matches this season, with 12 of them coming in the league from 31 games.
He has also started to establish himself in the Brazil team, scoring three goals from eight matches for his country.
