Arsenal earned just £5.1million from shirt sales in 2022/23 despite their record-breaking sales figures, Football Insider can reveal.

As per Lukasz Baczek, the Gunners sold 850,000 official replica shirts globally throughout the 2022/23 season.

It marked a record-breaking figure for Arsenal since they partnered with Adidas as their kit manufacturer.

The North London side signed with the German manufacturers in 2019 and extended their partnership last September in a deal worth over £60million per season.

The extension is set to run until 2030, with Arsenal’s club website revealing that the improved deal will provide ‘enhanced marketing rights’.

Arsenal’s kits at the start of the 2022/23 campaign were priced at £80, meaning the club made around £68million from shirt sales.

However, Premier League clubs on average pocket a commission of just 7.5 percent from product sales.

It means the Gunners will take a cut of only £5.1million from their shirt sales across the 2022/23 campaign.

Only Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea earned more through product sales throughout the 2022/23 season.

Liverpool are expected to top the charts for shirt sale profits due to the 20 percent commission attached to their deal with Nike.

Arsenal are expected to announce their full 2022/23 accounts in the coming days, with the Premier League deadline set for the end of December.

The accounts will reveal the club’s updated commercial revenue after it was revealed to be £141.7million in their latest 2021/22 report.
