Revealed: Newcastle set to make official Kieran Tierney move
Newcastle United remain strong favourites to sign Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
This site revealed last month (29 May) that Arsenal are “happy to sell” the 25-year-old – and a well-placed source has told Football Insider a deal worth £35million could be agreed with the Gunners.
Newcastle are long-time admirers of Tierney but are yet to make an official move for the Scotland international.
However, the Magpies are gearing up to make an approach for the Arsenal star with the transfer window set to open on 14 June.
Man City are among the other sides also keen on Tierney – and the Premier League champions are still waiting in the wings.
Tierney, who cost a reported £25million in 2019, was a bit-part player for Arsenal and Mikel Arteta as they challenged the Citizens for the Premier League title in the 2022-23 campaign.

He notched one goal and two assists in 36 appearances across all competitions this term, but started in just 15 of those outings.
The Scotland international earns a reported wage of £110,000-a-week at the Emirates Stadium – with his contract set to expire in June 2026.
Newcastle are keen to upgrade on current left-back Dan Burn, who arrived at the club as a centre-back last season.
Natural left-back Matt Targett joined the club permanently last summer (2022), but managed just eight starts in the 2022-23 campaign.
Tierney has made 60 appearances in European competition during his spells with Celtic and Arsenal – experience Eddie Howe’s side could find vital as they embark on a Champions League adventure next season.
