Ange Postecoglou is keen to add depth to his Tottenham front line in the summer window, sources have told Football Insider.

Despite ongoing speculation over Harry Kane’s future, it is believed Spurs are keen to add a wide forward - rather than an out-and-out striker.

Postecoglou, who was appointed earlier this month, is keen to move on to alternative targets after losing out on Villarreal star Nicolas Jackson.

The forward, who can play on both flanks and lead the line, notched nine goals and two assists in the final eight games of the 2022-23 La Liga season.

A well-placed source has told Football Insider that Postecoglou and his new recruitment team are keen to add a player with a similar profile to the 21-year-old.

Lucas Moura, who is primarily a winger but has also led the line, will leave Tottenham later this month after five years at the club.

Arnaut Danjuma, who joined on a six-month loan in January, will not see his deal extended after scoring just twice in 12 outings.

The duo's exit leaves Kane, Heung-min Son, Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison as the striking options for Postecoglou in the 2023-24 campaign.

Young strikers Dane Scarlett and Troy Parrott will also return to the club from respective loan moves in time for pre-season -in a bid to impress the Australian.

Tottenham

It is believed a goalkeeper, left-sided centre-back and central midfielder will be on the agenda for Spurs in the off-season.
