Tottenham are ready to sell Cameron Carter-Vickers for £5million this summer, Football Insider understands.

The defender, 21, has completed a season-long loan at Swansea City and returned to his parent club as he prepares to face crunch talks over his future.

A Spurs source has told Football Insider that Mauricio Pochettino has given the green light for the permanent sale of Carter-Vickers after loans at Swansea, Ipswich Town and Sheffield United in the past two seasons.

The club have set a £5m asking price for a player who is likely to attract strong interest from Championship clubs after being a regular starter for the Swans in the second half of the campaign.

Pochettino has previously spoken highly of Carter-Vickers, who has been capped by USA seven times but made just four appearances for Spurs.

He played regularly at both Sheffield United and Ipswich before initially struggling to break into the Swansea side, but a strong finish to the season will provide confidence at Tottenham they can secure the valuation they have placed on Carter-Vickers.
