Leeds United chiefs fear Jarrod Bowen's camp will use their interest to engineer a Premier League move this month, Football Insider has learned.

The Hull City forward, 23, is on the radar of more than 10 top-flights club after his sensational form in the opening half of the campaign.

A Leeds source has told Football Insider the club have expressed an interest in Bowen but the board fear his representatives may use that to bring Premier League big guns to the negotiating table.

Hull are eager for a "bidding war", the source explained, for their prize asset ahead of the final fortnight of the window.

Bowen is out of contract this summer but Hull have the option to extend his deal by a further 12 months.

The prolific scorer is eager to test himself at the highest level but does not want to join a club where he is not a regular starter.

Leeds are exploring buying Bowen on an initial loan that becomes permanent in the summer, similar to the Helder Costa deal agreed with Wolves last summer.

Bowen is third in the Championship top scorers' list this season behind only Brentford's Ollie Watkins and Fulham's Aleksandar Mitrovic, who both have 18.

The Hull academy product has 16 in the league and one in the FA Cup despite operating as a right-sided attacker rather than as an orthodox spearhead.

He has also supplied five assists in his 27 league matches this season.
