Richard Keys: This is when Caixinha will head to Rangers

By Dominic Toner

Richard Keys has revealed that Pedro Caixinha will leave Qatar on Saturday morning ahead of a move to Rangers.

Former Sky Sports presenter Key explained on his personal Twitter account that the Gers have agreed to pay a £350,000 compensation for Caixinha.

It is understood that the manager still has three months left on his deal with Qatar club Al-Gharafa, but the Scottish giants have moved to bring him to Ibrox immediately.

Al-Gharafa revealed on Thursday that they had reached an agreement with Rangers over Caixinha, who looks set to become the new permanent manager at Ibrox.

They have been on the search for a successor to Mark Warburton following his dismissal in February.

The Gers find themselves 33 points adrift of Celtic in the league table and were expected to put up a better fight on their return to the top-flight.

Graeme Murty has been the caretaker manager in recent weeks and is set to try help his side against Old Firm rivals Celtic on Sunday afternoon.

They travel to their bitter rivals for a league clash and will be looking to end their opponent’s unbeaten record this season so far.

Rangers will be in good spirits going into the game after a 6-0 victory against Hamilton last week, but have lost all three meetings so far with Celtic this season.
