Rio Ferdinand has predicted a big future for Will Keane after the Manchester United striker scored a hat-trick on Monday night.
Keane, 23, netted all three goals for United Under-21s as they beat Reading 3-1 to seal a seventh win in eight matches for the development team in all competitions.
The United academy graduate scored two penalties either side of a snap-shot to maintain his fine scoring for the Under-21s.
Keane’s hat-trick came after he was recalled from a season-long loan at Championship club Preston by Louis van Gaal earlier this month.
United legend Ferdinand took to social network site Twitter to praise Keane, whose twin brother Michael is also at Old Trafford.
