'The best team' – Rival Championship manager raves about Aston Villa
By Laura O’Leary
Ahead of playing Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon, Sheffield Wednesday manager Carlos Carvalhal has called them the “best team” in the league.
In an interview with the Daily Express, Carvalhal has heaped praise on Aston Villa’s squad and manager but remains adamant they can still win.
He said: “All the people will agree that Villa are probably the best team and players in the competition.
“Villa have some [weak points] like all the teams but have a lot of strong points.
“They have quality and a good coach but so do we. ”

Aston Villa are fifth in the Championship, having climbed into the play-offs position on Wednesday night.
Aston Villa are three points clear of seventh place Leeds United and eighth place Middlesbrough, meaning that a defeat on Saturday with both of those sides winning, would only knock them out of the play-off positions on goal difference.
The Villans defeated Preston North End 2-0 at Deepdale in their last game thanks to goals from James Chester and Robert Snodgrass.
Under Steve Bruce’s guidance, his side are unbeaten in the last three games and have kept two clean sheets in the process.
