Robbie Savage predicts Tottenham v Millwall

By Dominic Toner

Robbie Savage has backed Tottenham to beat Millwall in their FA Cup clash on Sunday afternoon.

Spurs welcome the League One side to White Hart Lane for a FA Cup quarter-final and will be strong favourites to progress.

The north London club are 10 points adrift of Chelsea in the Premier League table and their hopes of the title appear to be very slim, meaning the cup is their best chance for silverware this season.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have been dumped out of Europe in both the Champions League and Europa League this season, so will be looking to prove themselves in the knockout format.

Former Premier League midfielder Savage has tipped Spurs to pick up the victory over the lower league opposition, as cited by William Hill’s official Twitter account.

Spurs go into the weekend on the back of a 3-2 win against Everton in the Premier League and their imperious home form will mean they are confident against Millwall.

They have no midweek fixtures after their cup tie and that could tempt Pochettino into naming a strong starting line-up, with the likes of Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen potential match winners.

However, Millwall have earned their position in the quarter-finals and will relish the tag of underdogs.

The Lions have already eliminated Leicester, Watford and Bournemouth from the FA Cup this season and are currently occupying a play-off spot in League One.
