Robbie Savage predicts Tottenham v Watford

By Harvey Byrne

Former Premier League midfielder Robbie Savage has backed Tottenham to beat Watford in Sunday afternoon’s Premier League clash.

The north London outfit are preparing to face the Hornets at Vicarage Road in a fixture which sees fifth come up against 10th.

Spurs have won their last three Premier League meetings and Savage has predicted the run will continue on Sunday.

“Watford vs Spurs, you’ve got to fancy Spurs at Vicarage Road,” predicted Savage with betting company William Hill.

Tottenham have seemingly put their goal problems behind them in their recent fixtures with nine strikes from their last three outings, which included a stunning four goals in their most recent clash with Southampton.

Their good form has seen them occupy fifth place in the league, sitting just one point behind fierce rivals Arsenal in fourth.

By contrast, Watford have won just one of their last six League fixtures and they are in serious danger of tumbling down the league.

The stunning form former Spurs man Etienne Capoue showed at the start of the season has come to an abrupt halt, which has seen the Hertfordshire side’s season seriously derail.

Additionally, Watford have not beaten Tottenham in their last nine league and cup meetings, suffering seven losses and two draws.

In other Tottenham news, Jamie Redknapp believes Spurs will end this league run.
