Roberto Firmino backed to engineer Liverpool exit after major update - pundit
Roberto Firmino may force his way out of Liverpool if he is not given assurances of his game time.
That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the attacker’s possible departure.
According to Italian outlet TuttoJuve (24 July), Juventus have made a £20million offer for Firmino.
The Italian giants are reportedly preparing another bid for the 30-year-old, who is entering the final 12 months of his contract at Anfield.
The Brazilian started in Saturday’s (30 July) 3-1 win over Manchester City in the Community Shield, playing an hour before being replaced by Darwin Nunez.
Kenny claims Liverpool should keep hold of Firmino for another season as he offers something different compared to the club’s other attackers.

“Firmino brings something different to Liverpool,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“I would be surprised if they let him go, like I said, he is a different type of player. It all depends on the player.
“It depends how much game time he wants. He might be limited again at Liverpool and if he has the chance to go to Juventus then he might end up trying to push for that move.
“For me, I think Liverpool should keep him. He has a different style to the other attackers.”
Firmino has made 327 total appearances for the Reds since joining the club from Hoffenheim in 2015.
He has scored 98 goals and provided 74 assists.
