Roberts is 'shocking' and 'not good enough' for Leeds United - pundit
Tyler Roberts is “not good enough” for Leeds United after his latest “shocking” performance.
That is according to ex-Aston Villa star Gabriel Agbonlahor, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the attacking midfielder.
Roberts did not start for Leeds in their 1-1 draw against Newcastle United on Friday night but replaced Dan James after 61 minutes of the match.
He struggled to make an impact in a match in which United threatened to run riot early on as Raphinha opened the scoring and the visitors dominated.
Asked for his assessment of Roberts, Agbonlahor told Football Insider: “For me, he is not good enough for Leeds or Premier League level.
“He has some decent touches and gets in good positions, but his passing and decision-making keeps letting him down.

“It must be frustrating to watch for Leeds fans as moves keep breaking down when Roberts is on the ball. It’s shocking how often that happens.
“I don’t see him as the answer for Leeds, even though Marcelo Bielsa has a lot of faith in him.
“Leeds are crying out for a number 10, a James Maddison, a Jack Grealish, an Emi Buendia, and they haven’t got one.”
Roberts, 22, was the oldest of the nine Leeds substitutes at St James’ Park as Bielsa was unable to call on four injured or suspended players.
The former West Brom player has made six appearances for Leeds this season but his only start has come in the EFL Cup.
