Robinson: Brentford could seal 'amazing' Wilson signing after 'huge' Liverpool update
Liverpool winger Harry Wilson would be “an amazing” signing for Brentford, according to Paul Robinson.
However, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs and England number one claimed the 24-year-old’s £15million price tag is “huge” for the newly-promoted side.
The Athletic‘s James Pearce reported on May 28th that the Reds will entertain offers in the region of £15million for Wilson this summer.
As revealed by Football Insider (12th July), Brentford have made an enquiry for the Wales international, who has two years remaining on his contract at Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp has decided to let Wilson leave permanently after three-and-a-half seasons out on loan.
When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs for his assessment of Brentford’s interest, Robinson said:

“A signing of that magnitude would be huge for Brentford. They have to get big signings like that right because £15million is a lot of money for them.
“If Man United, Man City or Chelsea were spending £15million on a player they would not be taking a gamble but Brentford on the other hand would be.
“Wilson is an amazing player though and I would be surprised if only Brentford were looking to sign him at that price.”
Wilson spent the 2020-21 campaign on loan at Cardiff City, where he contributed seven goals and 12 assists in 38 games.
A product of Liverpool’s academy, the winger has made just two senior appearances for the Reds.
