Robinson issues verdict on new Ndombele price tumbling after Sky's Tottenham talks update
Paul Robinson has slammed Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele after Sunday’s FA Cup win over Morecambe Town.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former White Hart Lane number one said every time the 25-year-old plays “he’s worth less and less.”
Ndombele was booed off by his own supporters yesterday after he trudged off when replaced by Oliver Skipp.
As quoted by Football.London (9 January), Antonio Conte refused to be drawn on the Frenchman’s performance and actions.
According to Sky Sports (10 January), the London club have held talks over Ndombele’s future and are open to his exit this month.
When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs for his thoughts on the centre-midfielder’s future, Robinson said:

“The manager has given him his opportunity and in fairness to Conte, he’s given everybody an opportunity since coming in. Most players have had game time. Ndombele is not different.
“At the end of the day he is one of the biggest earners at the football club and he is not performing. He is not doing it.
“The fans took issue with his attitude and application yesterday. Nobody in the stadium is more aware of the way Ndombele played than Conte.
“This is not a new problem and Ndombele does not fit his system. He’s been questioned by all four of the managers he’s played under at Spurs. Something is amiss.
“His application was not good enough yesterday. It’s a shame because he is a top player but every time he plays he’s worth less and less.”
