Rodney Marsh predicts Tottenham FA Cup showdown against Chelsea
By Amir Mir
Rodney Marsh has backed Chelsea to beat Tottenham in their FA Cup semi-final showdown at Wembley.
Former England international Marsh believes the Blues will either win in extra time or during the dreaded penalty shootout.
Antonio Conte’s team come into this key fixture low on confidence after their 2-0 defeat at the hands of Manchester United last Sunday.
The physicality and raw pace of United on that day was too much for Chelsea as they suffered their second defeat in five league games.
By contrast, Spurs go to Wembley full of confidence after they have won seven matches on the bounce which has reduced Chelsea’s lead in the Premier League table to just four points.

However, Marsh believes it will be Conte’s team who will come out on top against their London neighbours as he posted this message on his personal Twitter account.

One aspect Chelsea may look to target is their opponent’s poor form at the home of football this season.
Spurs have played three Champions League games and one Europa League match at Wembley, winning only once, suffering two defeats and the other clash finishing in a draw.
Their poor performances at England’s national stadium saw them get knocked out of the group stages of the CL and then taste the same medicine at the hands of Genk in the Europa League.
In other Tottenham news, Paul Merson has stated that he would be shocked if this key player was axed for the FA Cup clash.
