Ronald Koeman has identified a number of players he wants to bring to Everton in January.

The Toffees manager is likely to be backed by cash-rich owner Farhad Moshiri in the transfer window, which opens in four days’ time.

Speaking ahead of Everton’s clash against Hull on Friday, Koeman was quoted on Liverpool Echo reported Neil Jones’ personal Twitter account.

“We are working on that,” Koeman said. “We have some interest in certain players, but we need to keep that inside.”

The Everton boss is likely to want to replace summer signing Yannick Bolasie, as the £30million man was ruled out for the entire season with a knee injury.

The Toffees have been widely reported in targeting Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin, who is expected to leave after struggling to break his way into Jose Mourinho’s first-team plans.

Koeman, 53, also revealed his interest in League One hotshot Ademola Lookman, and he could be another name on his way to Goodison Park come January.

Everton will be hoping to enter January in buoyant mood with all three points against Mike Phelan’s struggling Hull City, as the two sides meet on December 30.

A win could see the Merseyside giants moving to within four points of Mourinho’s United who sit in sixth place, if United lose to Middlesbrough at Old Trafford on New Year’s Eve.

In other Everton transfer news, Koeman is also reportedly in the market for this Premier League attacker.
