Sources: Tottenham first teamer tells Levy he wants to quit by Friday night after U-turn
Danny Rose has told Daniel Levy he wants to quit Tottenham by Friday night after making a U-turn over his future, Football Insider has learned.
The left-back, 29, has attracted interest from Newcastle United, Watford and Bournemouth this month as he enters the final 18 months of his Spurs contract.
A Tottenham source has told Football Insider that Rose has made it clear to Levy he is keen to end his 13 year-spell at the club.
This represents a major U-turn for the outspoken England international.
He went public back in November to reveal that Spurs wanted him gone but he had no intention of leaving before his contract expires in the summer of 2021.
At that point, Rose was playing regularly and was a key member of the starting line-up.

However, he has slipped down the pecking order since Jose Mourinho took over as manager from Mauricio Pochettino.
Despite Ben Davies being absent with a long-term injury, the Portugese has selected Ryan Sessegnon and Jan Vertonghen ahead of Rose at left-back.
Mourinho recently made it clear that Rose was being omitted for selection reasons rather than due to the injuries that had plagued him either side of the new year
He began the season in the team, with 10 league starts in the first 13 matches as well as starting four of the club’s six Champions League group stage games.
But Rose has started only one Premier League fixture since October.
In other Tottenham news, it can be REVEALED that a mammoth Jarrod Bowen bid has been submitted.
