Exclusive: One Newcastle player can be devastating if PCP transfer plans come off - Robinson
Paul Robinson has tipped Allan Saint-Maximin to reach devastating heights if Newcastle United surround him with some world beaters this summer.
The former Spurs and Leeds United goalkeeper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, claimed the 23-year-old was of a dying breed of player that still excites fans by running at defenders.
As revealed by Football Insider if the PCP Partners complete a takeover of the club they plan to initially invest £200million into the club’s recruitment and infrastructure.
The trio, collectively, boast an astonishing 658 goals and 359 assists in club football.
Robinson was excited by the prospect of Saint-Maximin playing with some of Europe’s elite players.

“He has just got better and better,” he told Football Insider.
“He had a little spell out with injury but he came back. It takes players quite a while sometimes to adapt to the Premier League but he seems to be doing it every week, getting better and better and he is an exciting player.
“He is one of the few players who still gets on the ball and runs at players and takes players on – it excites crowds.
“If he was surrounded by other talent it would be a really exciting prospect.”
All three attackers are out of contract this summer and would allow the Magpies to add real quality to their squad whilst having one eye on the Financial Fair Play regulations.
Saint-Maximin has scored three goals in 21 appearances before the season was suspended amid the Coronavirus pandemic.
In other Newcastle United news, Darren Bent has told Football Insider Wilfried Zaha should be top of the shopping list if a takeover is completed.
