Scott Brown: This is how Celtic can frighten Bayern Munich at Parkhead
By Danny Wright
Celtic captain Scott Brown has claimed that the home crowd at Parkhead can “frighten” Bayern Munich when they travel to Glasgow on Halloween in two weeks’ time.
The Hoops fell to a 3-0 defeat at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night, putting a huge dent in their chances of qualifying for the knock-out stages of the Champions League after Christmas.
Thomas Muller, Joshua Kimmich and Mats Hummels were all on the scoresheet as Bayern romped to a straightforward victory against Brendan Rodgers’ side, but Brown has suggested that they could get something in the home clash, thanks to their buzzing home support.
“It’s always different back at Celtic Park with our fans there and hopefully our fans give them a fright,” said Brown after the game during BT Sport’s coverage on Wednesday.
“Hopefully we can get an early goal, create chances and work the goalie.”

Celtic currently sit third in their Champions League group, three points behind second-placed Bayern and six short of leaders Paris Saint-Germain after they piled the misery on Anderlecht on Wednesday night with a convincing 4-0 win.
Europa League football looks to be the most realistic option for the Hoops and they will no doubt be looking towards their home clash with Anderlecht in early December to solidify their third placed spot.
However that would no doubt be made easier with any kind of result against Bayern later this month, but they would have to ensure that they do not suffer a Halloween nightmare against a side that barely got out of first gear this week.
