Scott Brown takes swipe at Tottenham star on Instagram after England draw v Scotland
By Harvey Byrne
Scotland and Celtic captain Scott Brown has taken a swipe at Tottenham star Harry Kane in regards to his hat-trick claims after England’s 2-2 draw with Scotland on Saturday.
The 23-year-old striker went into the encounter at Hampden Park stating that he wanted to score a hat-trick, which angered those associated with Scotland.
They then had the last laugh on Saturday, as it was only a late goal from Kane that prevented Gordon Strachan’s team from taking all three points in the World Cup qualifier after two well executed free-kicks.
Now, Brown, who wasn’t shying away on the pitch was also vocal off it and on Saturday evening he posted a picture on his official Instagram account alongside Scotland teammates Chris Martin and Ikechi Anya with the sarcastic caption: “Bit unlucky the day. Gd to see harry Kane scored his hatrick.”
Unlike at club level Kane has struggled the same scoring form for England and his goal against Scotland makred his first since a May 2016 friendly against Turkey.

He will now be hoping to add to his five goals in the future, especially after having been handed the captain’s armband and while England look set to qualify for next summer’s World Cup, it looks as though Scotland are going to need a strong end to their qualifying campaign.
