Scott Sinclair delivers verdict on Celtic player, compares to Chelsea all-time great
By Matt Farr
Scott Sinclair insists his Celtic team-mate Moussa Dembele is at the same level as former Chelsea star Didier Drogba.
Dembele, 20, has drawn the plaudits with a series of eye-catching displays for Celtic over the course of the season, establishing himself as one of Europe’s best young talents.
The France U21 international has netted a remarkable 31 goals from 43 appearances since arriving at Celtic at the start of the season, including three hat-trick hauls.
But Sinclair is confident that Dembele already has the talent to match some of the Premier League’s all-time greats, including his former Chelsea colleague Drogba.
When quizzed by the the Daily Star over his best team-mates, he said: “Maybe Aguero or Tevez. One of those two. I can throw Didier Drogba in too.

“I’ve played with some good strikers but Moussa’s got that attribute where he’s scoring goals and that mentality to want to do better and better.
“I’d say Moussa’s similar to them. At the moment he is doing unbelievably. As a striker, and the confidence he’s got, he’s scoring every week.”
Yet while Sinclair believes Dembele and Drogba are already quite similar, the Celtic star still has a long way to go to match the Ivorian’s record on the pitch.
Drogba scored 164 goals for Chelsea from 381 appearances in all competitions, making him the fourth-highest goalscorer in the club’s entire history.
However, Dembele could end up following in the footsteps of Drogba by joining Chelsea this summer, with the Premier League leaders reportedly keen to sign him.
Antonio Conte’s side were believed to be pondering a £40million approach for the striker during the January transfer window.
But despite the growing interest from some of Europe’s top clubs, Celtic remain determined to keep hold of their most prized asset.
