Hearts and Hibernian fans fume after ‘disgraceful’ announcement
The two sides are set to clash for the first time this season next Thursday, when Hibs host the Scottish Premiership match at Easter Road.
Following this, the rematch was scheduled for Boxing Day, with anticipation for the festive fixture high for both sets of fans.
However, it has since been confirmed by both clubs that the fixture has now been pushed back until 27 December due to Sky Sports selecting the tie for TV coverage.
With the game now set to kick-off at 12pm, fans were far from amused with the announcement.
This is a repeat of what happened last season, with the Edinburgh derby also being played 27 December.

It has been commonplace in recent seasons for Hearts and Hibs to play each other in the festive period.
The two clubs have overseen some iconic matches in recent years, including the 3-2 Hibs victory on 27 December 2025.
Therefore, when it was originally announced that the derby would take place on Boxing Day, fans were overjoyed.
However, these supporters have now been robbed of any potential plans to go to Tynecastle on 26 December, four months before the game was set to take place.
As a result, many fans were furious and have quickly taken to X to berate the decision.
What's Hearts’ recent record in the Edinburgh derby?
Going into next Thursday’s Edinburgh derby, Hearts may feel the more confident of the two rivals.
The Jambos have had a solid start to their Scottish Premiership campaign and also boast a decent record in the derby.
In their last five meetings, Hearts have won three times, with Hibs winning the other two.
The Jam Tarts have also won the last two clashes, and three of the four derbies last season.
However, it is impossible to rule Hibs out, especially at Easter Road, as they look to reclaim the bragging rights.
Nevertheless, it remains to be seen who will come out on top next week as both sides look to continue their solid starts to the campaign.
