Hearts fans are furious with Harry Milne’s performance on Tuesday as they lost 2-1 away to Falkirk to end the club’s unbeaten run.

The Jambos missed their chance to go second in the Scottish Premiership and three points off Celtic as goals from Ben Krauhaus and Owen Eames condemned them to a defeat.

It was simply a dreadful display from the Edinburgh side as they gave Falkirk their first league victory of the campaign.

Multiple players were also for Hearts. However, perhaps none were worse than Milne. The captain was at fault for the winner, as his horrific ball was capitalised on by Eames to put Falkirk in front just after the hour mark.

From here, Milne did not improve, and perhaps put in his worst performance in a Hearts jersey to date.

As a result, the Tynecastle faithful are furious, and have hold not back in their criticism of the 29-year-old full-back.

Milne has no doubt had a tough start to the 2026-27 campaign at Hearts.

The defender was unable to prevent the Jambos from being knocked out in both the Champions League and the Europa League in the summer, with both ties ending in heavy defeats.

After he returned to the starting XI in the Premier Sports Cup on the weekend, he kept his place for the Falkirk tie on Tuesday, but was a key factor in the defeat.

Overall, he was dreadful, and Hearts fans were quick to make their feelings known on X.

Harry Milne should've been taken off at half time. His assist for the Falkirk 2nd was criminal, and he should be benched for that alone.

How bad was Milne vs Falkirk?

When examining the stats, there is no doubt that Milne had a dreadful game against Falkirk.

According to Fotmob on 16 September, he only completed 68 per cent of his passes, created zero chances, had one shot, which was off target, failed to complete any of his two attempted dribbles, made two tackles, zero interceptions, was dispossessed once and won just three of his eight ground duels.

As a result, Milne will surely be dropped for Hearts’ next match against Kilmarnock on the weekend.

However, it remains to be seen if the defender can bounce back from this display and return to form as soon as possible.
