Former Rangers and Australia defender Craig Moore believes that Celtic will eventually sell his fellow countryman Tom Rogic.
He feels that the Hoops could get a lot of money for the 25-year-old if he was more consistent, but that he isn’t at that level just yet.
“His challenge is playing week in week out and completing games regularly,” Moore said, as quoted by the Scottish Sun.
“If he can do that and be a consistent performer or in the top two or three every week then Celtic will eventually sell him as the interest would be there.
“Rogic can be a player that can kick on I have no doubt and for big money. He is probably still chasing the best form though for that to happen and really get people excited.”
Rogic has had an up and down season for the Hoops so far, as he missed much of it due to injury, but has still turned in some eye-catching performances.
His future at the club is in some doubt though, as he has reports from Australia claimed that he turned down an extension to his contract which runs out at the end of the season.
Football Insider verdict
Hoops fans might not like to agree with a former Rangers player but he is speaking the truth about Rogic, who is a very exciting player but needs to find more consistency. He is also correct about playing entire matches as well, as Rogic was subbed in the Hoops’ most recent match, against Dundee on Wednesday night. As for Rogic’s future, it will all come down to if he signs a new contract or not, if he does he will most likely stay with the Hoops for a few years to come, if he turns his contract offer down then it makes sense to sell him this summer whilst the Bhoys can still get a decent transfer fee for the player.
