David Unsworth must make five changes for the West Ham game to field his best possible XI, and axe players who have failed to perform for Everton this season.

There were several senior figures who were woeful in the Toffees’ 4-1 defeat to Southampton on Sunday, and they’ve proved they can’t be relied upon.

The game against the Hammers is absolutely crucial, with Everton just two points clear of West Ham in the relegation zone. A defeat would see them drop further into a relegation battle they don’t seem equipped for.

Unfortunately, Everton have several injury and suspension issues going into the game and Unsworth will have to make some enforced changes too.

Unsworth has won only one league game so far, a 3-2 victory over Watford, and he’ll know his side goes up against a West Ham team buoyed by a point against Leicester City on Friday.
