Aston Villa senior man shares why the team have left him baffled

Ian Taylor has stated that he is "baffled" Aston Villa still cannot kill off games after they conceded a 90th minute equaliser in their 1-1 draw against Barnsley on Tuesday night.

Sam Winnall headed home late on for the Tykes at Oakwell, where Jordan Ayew had put the visitors ahead in a second half which was dominated by the Midlands side.

Roberto Di Matteo's men have now conceded goals after the 85th minute on five out of ten occasions this term.

Club ambassador Taylor warned that Villa's clash at Preston on Saturday will be another difficult tie, as he vented his frustration at another late goal conceded by his former side.

"Still baffled," Taylor wrote on his personal Twitter account. "We have to kill teams off. Preston North End is another difficult game, as they all are. Well done to all that travelled."

Here is Taylor giving his verdict on another Villa draw on his personal Twitter account

The Midlands club have now recorded a league high of seven draws in ten Championship games and have not picked up a win since beating Rotherham 3-0 on August 13.

As a result Villa sit 17th with ten points from their opening ten games, with reports suggesting Di Matteo could lose his job, if he fails to pick up a win at Preston.

Villa travel to Deepdale on Saturday afternoon to take on Simon Grayson's side, who are 19th in the Championship and level on points with their opponents going into the weekends clash.
