Sheffield United have agreed a deal to sign Brighton attacker Reda Khadra, sources have told Football Insider.

A number of clubs have expressed an interest in the German, 21, this summer following his impressive spell on loan at Blackburn Rovers last term.

United have won the race for Khadra and a full agreement is now in place.

He can play on the wing, up front, or at wing-back, and scored four goals and provided two assists in 28 appearances for Blackburn last season.

Paul Heckingbottom persisted with the 3-5-2 formation installed by Chris Wilder at Bramall Lane and Khadra would be comfortable in a number of roles in his system.

He has a year left to run on his Blades contract but has played just four minutes in total for Graham Potter's side.

The German youth international signed from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2020 before he left for his loan spell at Ewood Park a year later.

He looks set to become the South Yorkshire side's fourth addition of the window.

The Blades beat Blackburn to the signing of 23-year-old centre-back Anel Ahmedhodzic, who signed from Malmo for £4million earlier this month (6 July).

Brighton

Centre-midfielder Tommy Doyle, 20, and 32-year-old centre-back Ciaran Clark have both joined on loan from Man City and Newcastle United respectively.

Four Brighton stars meanwhile have left the Amex permanently in the current window, including 25-year-old midfielder Yves Bissouma who has joined Tottenham for £25m.
