Sheffield Wednesday fans troll Leeds on Twitter after securing play-off finish

By Matt Bullin

Sheffield Wednesday fans have ruthlessly trolled Leeds on Twitter after their side secured a play-off finish.

The Owls laboured to a 1-0 win v Ipswich, as Kieran Lee’s goal sees them move into fourth.

Meanwhile Leeds played out a dramatic 3-3 draw with Norwich, as they came back from three goals down to secure a point to keep their slim play-off chances alive.

Steven Naismith opened the scoring for the Canaries before Nelson Oliveira bagged a brace to make it 3-0 after 45 minutes.

Chris Wood pulled one back before the break, and Kyle Bartley and Pablo Hernandez both struck in the second half to drag their side level.

However the result still leaves Garry Monk’s side outside the play-off places.

In order to make it into the play-offs the Whites need beat Wigan and Fulham to lose next week, with a 14 goal swing in their favour.

Wednesday fans were obviously delighted with their own sides win, but they were also pleased as Leeds failed to claim three points with a play-off finish in major doubt.
