Celtic fans on social media have given their opinions on the news that Hearts player Steven Naismith has been offered a two match ban by the SFA for his stamp on Hoops captain Scott Brown.
The news was announced on the official SFA website a short time ago.
Whilst most fans are pleased that the player is set to banned, some still aren’t happy, with one claiming that the suspension should have been more severe, with another claiming that the player should also be banned for a poor challenge on James Forrest not long after the Brown incident.
Here are some of the best reactions from Twitter to the Naismith ban:

Should be 5 games for Naismith… stamping somebody is not just a red card offence, it is a dangerous assault

Eventually. So I’m assuming they’ve just overlooked the tackle on Forrest?

Naismith, who spent five season at Rangers, seemed very wound-up during the game, and both Brown and Forrest were fortunate to avoid serious injury after the challenges, which were reckless at best.

The stamp on Brown was bad as it looked deliberate, but arguably the over the ball challenge on Forrest was worse, as he caught him on the knee and Forrest was very lucky to avoid a serious injury.
The Hoops had the last laugh on the day though, as they won 3-1 and gained revenge for their 4-0 loss at Tynecastle earlier in the season.
