Silvestre: Wenger will stay at Arsenal if these two things happen
By Aramide Oladipo
Former French international Mikael Silvestre believes that Arsene Wenger will remain as Arsenal manager if the North London side win the FA Cup and finish in the top four.
Arsenal closed the gap on the top four with a 2-0 win over Southampton on Wednesday night, bringing the possibility of a Champions League finish closer.
If the Gunners win their game in hand they’d now only be a point behind Liverpool who have two games left to play, including a potentially tricky away trip to West ham.
Arsenal could also still win silverware because they have already confirmed a date at Wembley in May as they face Chelsea in the FA Cup final, as they look to become the club with the most FA Cup wins.
Speaking with TalkSport, Silvestre believes that Wenger will sign an extension to his current contract should he guide Arsenal to a top four finish and more FA Cup success.

“I think he will stay, especially if it goes well until the end of the season.” he said.
“The push for the top four and the FA Cup final to play as well.”
“I think he will stay because he is stubborn and he wants to succeed, Arsenal is in his blood so he’s not going to let it go so easily.”
Mikael Silvestre is one man who knows Arsene Wenger well as the Frenchman signed him from Manchester United at the start of the 2008/09 season.
The French defender only stayed at the Emirates Stadium for two seasons where he made 26 Premier League appearances and scored three goals.
Silvestre had more success in Manchester where he managed to win five Premier League during his eight year stay at Old Trafford
