Simon Jordan makes bold Rangers prediction, fans will be delighted

By Harvey Byrne

Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan has boldly predicted that Rangers will win the Premiership title in the next two seasons.

The Gers are currently in their first season in the Scottish top flight since suffering demotion in 2012 after entering administration.

Celtic have since taken the opportunity to express their dominance over the rest of Scotland as they are currently on course to win their sixth consecutive league title.

But, Jordan has aired on his personal Twitter account that he believes that run will be coming to a near end and that current Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers will have departed.

Predictions like these will delight Rangers fans as the Glaswegian giants look to win their first Premiership title since 2011.

Additionally, they will be looking to put an end to Celtic’s title run as they close in on Rangers’ record of nine consecutive league titles between 1989 and 1997.

But, for the meantime the Gers will be looking to improve on their current third placing with weekend appointment Pedro Caixinha now at the helm.

The Portuguese boss’ first game in charge will be Hamilton on Saturday, who they recently beat 6-0 in the Scottish Cup.

In other Rangers news, fans have reacted on Twitter to reports that Mark Warburton is closing in on the Nottingham Forest job.
