Simon Jordan has stated that his “money” would be on Leeds to beat their bitter rivals Sheffield Wednesday in a play-off semi-final.
The former Crystal Palace owner believes if the duo were to meet for a place in the Premier League then it would be “one of the biggest” play-off encounters ever.
At this moment in time, Garry Monk’s side occupy fourth place in the Championship table while their Yorkshire neighbours are sixth.
If they finish in those league positions then they will not meet in the semi-final stages but could face each other in the final if they beat their respective opponents.
Either way, former Palace man Jordan backed the Whites to triumph if they were to clash for a place in the Premier League.
“Play-off semi-final, Leeds v Sheffield Wednesday. One of the biggest ever,” Jordan wrote on his personal Twitter account. “My money is on Leeds.”

There is the likely hood that three Yorkshire clubs, Leeds, Wednesday and Huddersfield could all finish in the top six this season.
Furthermore, it enhances the chances of two Yorkshire clubs clashing during the play-off run in at the end of the campaign.
This season, it has been Monk who has won the bragging rights for his supporters in Yorkshire because he has led his team to two victories against Wednesday.
The most recent win came in February at Elland Road when Chris Wood scored the only goal of the game with Jordan Rhodes missing a costly second-half penalty.
In other Leeds news, Garry Monk must axe this 28-year-old fan favourite against QPR.
