Skriniar to Tottenham: Big-money offer tabled in major new development - Sources
Tottenham are close to agreeing personal terms with Milan Skriniar as a deal edges closer, Football Insider understands.
Spurs are working on prising the defender from Inter Milan before next Monday’s transfer cut-off after making him their number one target.
Chelsea’s demoted Antonio Rudiger is also being considered by the Londoners as an alternative centre-back target.
A Tottenham source has told Football Insider that talks are advancing with Skriniar and Inter over a deal and they are set to continue today.
The Londoners are hopeful an offer over £30million will be enough to convince the Serie A giants to sell.
Tottenham have also offered a lucrative long-term contract to the 31-times Slovakia international.

He is said to be keen to move to an elite Premier League club after three years at Inter.
This site revealed last Friday that Spurs had been told that Inter were prepared to drastically reduce their initial £55m asking price for the defender.
Skriniar was subsequently omitted from Antonio Conte’s side for their first league match of the season on Saturday, a 4-3 win over Fiorentina.
Inter fielded a three-man defence made up of Alessandro Bastoni, Danilo D’Ambrosio and former Man City man Aleksandar Kolarov.
Conte revealed an “important bid” for Skriniar could be enough to tempt Inter into a sale.
The centre-back has been a mainstay of the Italian side since joining in 2017, making 128 appearances in all competitions.
It has been reported in Italy that Inter are already discussing potential replacements for Skriniar, including Schalke’s Ozan Kabak.
In other news, the door has opened for Tottenham to sign Premier League forward after asking price tumbles ahead of transfer deadline day.
