Sky: Everton braced for loan move attacker bid

By Harvey Byrne

Hull are showing an interest in Everton striker Oumar Niasse, according to a report.

Sky Sports claim on their transfer centre blog (11,08am) on Wednesday that the Tigers want a season-long loan move for the Toffees flop.

The 26-year-old only moved to Merseyside from Lokomotiv Moscow in a £13.5million deal last January, but it is believed that he is surplus to requirements at Goodison Park.

The five-time capped Senegal international has only appeared in seven fixtures since his January move and he was left out of the Toffees opening match day squad against Tottenham at the weekend.

The striker still has four years left on his Everton contract, but he has so far had a dismal stay in England, which was compounded by being arrested in May on suspicion of assault after police were called to a house in the early hours of the morning.

Niasse built a name for himself in Russia, where he scored 16 goals in 34 appearances and helping his side win a domestic cup in his two-year stay.

Ronald Koeman is looking to strengthen his new squad, which finished in 11th place last campaign.

The Dutch manager has targeted Premier League experience and he has brought in Maarten Stekelenburg, Idrissa Gueye, Ashley Williams and Yannick Bolasie, with further big-name additions expected.

The Toffees face a trip to the Hawthorns on Saturday as they go up against West Brom and it could be the ideal opportunity for Koeman to pick up his first win in charge of the club.

In other Everton transfer news, Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez has warned clubs to table big-money bids if they want to sign Moussa Sissoko.
