Sky Sports details development in reported Tottenham bid for next Gareth Bale
By Danny Wright
Tottenham have not made a bid for Fulham wonderkid Ryan Sessegnon, according to a report.
Sky Sports claimed in their live transfer blog on Tuesday [01:26pm] that despite the Mirror reporting that Spurs had a £25million bid rejected for the 17-year-old, there has been no offer made for a cross-London transfer.
It was understood that Fulham were not interested in letting Sessegnon leave after he had not long penned a fresh three-year contract in June, however after this latest development, it appears that the Cottagers’ resolve has not been tested afterall.
The England youth international is said to have been dubbed as the next Gareth Bale due to the attacking flair he shows while playing at left-back and is also able to play in a more midfield roles at times.
As last season progressed, Sessegnon developed more into a winger than a full-back as he scored seven goals and supplied four assists in 30 appearances across all competitions.

The Mirror added that Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal were also keen on the wonderkid, while Tottenham were also interested in his twin brother Steven.
Football Insider Verdict
Even though it turns out Tottenham have not actually made a bid for Ryan Sessegnon, they should still try to sign him up because his form last season showed that he is a star in the making. Mauricio Pochettino loves to develop youth in his squad and the Fulham teenager would have fit into the Spurs boss’ philosophy perfectly, especially as left wing-back who can potentially replace the unhappy Danny Rose. Spurs should probably try to sign his twin brother Steven first. If they get him, that might grease the wheels for a potential move for the previously reported £25million-rated starlet.
In other Tottenham news, one of Spurs’ Premier League rivals have made an approach for this player who only signed last summer.
