Sky Sports pundit predicts Leeds v Ipswich as Monk looks for back-to-back wins
By Danny Wright
Sky Sports pundit David Prutton has predicted that Leeds will grab a point in a 1-1 draw against Ipswich at Portman Road on Saturday.
The former Leeds midfielder has said that Tuesday night’s victory over Bristol City was a big win for Garry Monk’s side as they ended a run of back-to-back defeats.
However he also talks up Mick McCarthy’s side and their strong defence which held second-placed Brighton to a 1-1 draw on Tuesday.
“Ipswich are a funny one, you kind of get the general feeling they will finish about mid-table where they are at the moment,” Prutton told Sky Sports.
“Leeds needed to beat Bristol City after a couple of surprising results but Ipswich do look pretty solid. They are unbeaten in three and drew against Brighton.”

Monk’s side are currently fifth in the Championship standings and look good to finish in the play-off places this season. However the former Swansea boss will be hoping his side can gain promotion automatically and thanks to the victory over Bristol, they are just eight points behind Brighton.
The Tractor Boys only have two wins in their last eight league games and if Monk is to be serious about earning promotion he will have to rely on some of his star players to return to form.
Liam Bridcutt should be back in the Leeds side for Saturday’s game after serving his suspension while Charlie Taylor remains out with an ankle injury.
Leeds have failed to do a league double over Ipswich since beating them twice in the 2001/02 Premier League season. Chris Wood scored the only goal in a 1-0 win at Elland Road in the reverse fixture this season.
In other Leeds news, Garry Monk is expected to make one change to the team to face Ipswich.
