Sky Sports pundit predicts Newcastle v Birmingham
By Harvey Byrne
Sky Sports pundit David Prutton has predicted a comfortable win for Newcastle in Saturday’s clash against Birmingham.
The north east giants are currently preparing to travel to St. Andrews to face the Midlands club in an encounter which sees first take on 17th.
When the two clubs last met in January, Newcastle ran out 3-1 victors in an FA Cup replay following a 1-1 draw in the first match.
Now, Prutton believes it will be much like the replay again this weekend, predicting a 2-0 away win.
“Newcastle have slipped up at times over the season but this doesn’t feel like another game where they drop points,” told Prutton to the Sky Sports website.

“They have beaten Brighton and Huddersfield away by letting them have a lot of the ball and then having the sting in the tail.
“Birmingham will be looking at what Rowett does at Derby and seeing how he fares, because they could have had that all season.”
Newcastle have hit a rocky patch of form with a draw against Reading alongside a defeat against Fulham in their last two matches.
However, with Brighton now level on points with them at the top, they will know that a win is essential on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Birmingham have struggled since Ginafranco Zola took charge and they have won just one of their last seven league matches, losing five and drawing one.
They are currently just six points above the drop zone with nine matches of the season left and they will know they have to start picking up points soon.
