After Slimani, another Newcastle medical set to complete before kick-off tonight – reliable journalist

Goalkeeper Martin Dubravka will have his medical at St James’ Park before the kick-off in the Premier League match tonight.
Newcastle are set to play Burnley in a 7.45pm kick-off and Sky Sports Keith Downie has said that Dubravka will comllete his medical before the two sides kick-off.
He released the news on his personal Twitter page on Wednesday evening.

This comes hot on the heels of the news that striker Islam Slimani has completed his medical at Newcastle ahead of his loan move.
This news was announced by Mark Douglas of the Chronicle and he sent a tweet out with a picture of Slimani at St James’ park.

Football Insider verdict:
Newcastle have taken their time but if this medical goes okay too, they’ll have completed deals for two players right at the end of the January window. That’s a bonus for fans and in Slimani they’ve got a player who can score goals, and in Dubravka they’ve got someone who can help keep them out at the other end. The 29-year-old keeper has bags of experience both with Sparta Prague and on the international stage where he’s made eight appearances for Slovakia.
