RB Salzburg sensation Oscar Gloukh is on the radar at Aston Villa ahead of the January transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

The 19-year-old is regarded as a top young player and is one of the highest-rated talents in Europe.

Gloukh has experience in the Champions League and clubs across Europe are watching him ahead of a possible swoop in the near future.

A well-placed source has told Football Insider that Villa see the Israel international as a player with "top potential".

If they can prise him away from Salzburg mid-season, it is believed the Midlands giants feel the teenager can be a great fit for Unai Emery's project.

Gloukh signed for the Austrian giants earlier this year and is under contract until June 2027.

He has already racked up 41 games for Salzburg, notching eight goals and seven assists - including two strikes in the Champions League.

The two-footed 19-year-old primarily plays as an attacking midfielder but can also feature in a deeper midfield role and as a winger.

He has already racked up 12 caps for Israel since making his senior international debut in November 2022, notching three goals.

Aston Villa have enjoyed a brilliant start to the 2023-24 campaign and sit third in the Premier League after 16 games.
